A GreenKey pass is required in order to use Suffolk County Parks. For most of the parks, including Blydenburgh, the GreenKey is only required on weekends and holidays between Memorial Day and Labor Day. A resident GreenKey pass is $20/yr and a senior (60+ yrs) is $9/yr.
A GreenKey may be purchased at the West Sayville Park Operations Office, any of the County Golf Courses (Bergen Point, Indian Island, Timber Point, West Sayville), or any of the following parks (Blydenburgh, Cathedral Pines, Cedar Point, Cupsogue, Indian Island, Meschutt Beach, Sears Bellows, Shinnecock East , Smith Point, Southaven, and Theodore Roosevelt).
One proof must be a photo I.D. (driver’s license or N.Y. non-driver photo identification card) with a physical address. If non Suffolk County or P.O. Box address, two additional proofs required. Additional proofs can be any of the following: Suffolk County property tax bill, property deed, motor vehicle registration, utility bill, a Suffolk County voter’s registration card, or an official residential lease for a minimum of nine months with same address as photo I.D. Post Office boxes are not accepted as proof of residency.
